Affiliate Committees
The FSA appoints members sit on provincial and national committees organized by the BC Federation of Labour and Canadian Association of University Teachers. Participation in these committees informs our work within the broader union movement.
BC Federation of Labour (BCFED)
The BCIT Faculty & Staff Association has been affiliated with the BC Federation of Labour (BCFED) since 2016. The BC Federation of Labour represents over 500,000 members from affiliated unions across the province. As part of our membership, the FSA has a seat on the BCFED Executive Council and appoints individuals to BCFED standing committees.
Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT)
The BCIT Faculty & Staff Association has been affiliated with the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) since 2016. As part of our membership, we can appoint FSA staff and members to CAUT committees.
