New Professional Development Systems (PDS) Coordinator Appointed

January 20, 2025

The Faculty and Staff Association (FSA) at BCIT is pleased to announce that, following a comprehensive selection process in the fall, Kirsty Barclay-Estrup (Faculty, School of Computing and Academic Studies) has been appointed as the new Professional Development System (PDS) Coordinator.

Reporting to the Learning & Teaching Centre (LTC), the PDS Coordinator role is a 50% FTE appointment, available exclusively to FSA members.

Since its inception in the mid-1980s and full implementation in 2003, PDS has played a crucial role in supporting FSA faculty and staff in their pursuit of excellence in both teaching and service. The primary objective of PDS is to enhance educational excellence and instructional quality. It serves as a vital support mechanism, ensuring the best possible experience for students, staff, and faculty alike.

Please join us in extending our congratulations to Kirsty on her new role.
