Best Wishes
The Faculty and Staff Association sends its best wishes to outgoing BCIT Vice-President of Human Resources Tomi Eeckhout. Over his 23 years of service, Tomi has been the stable element in BCIT’s leadership. He has always been friendly and good humoured, even in the most adversarial circumstances. When the labour relations climate required both parties to be flexible, Tomi was always willing to discuss solutions. He has always had BCIT’s interests at heart.
BCIT’s human resources environment has changed a lot since the early 1990s. Through the joint union-management selection process for a new VPHR, the FSA will seek to ensure that BCIT finds leadership that can meet the needs of our members in today’s context, and leadership that can adapt to the evolving needs of our members.
