BCGEU and HEU Announce Tentative Agreements with the Province

Both the Hospital Employees’ Union (HEU) and BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) have reached tentative collective bargaining agreements after months at the provincial negotiating table–September 2 for the former, the latter on September 7. The agreements would provide identical yet significant wage increases (BCGEU) (HEU) for almost 100,000 public-sector workers. Both contracts still need to be ratified by their respective memberships.
